This Penne Arrabiata is a snap to make and and the sauce stores well in the refrigerator or freezer. If you like your food more spicy or less spicy, adjust the amount of red pepper flakes accordingly.

Ingredients
- 1 lb penne
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
- 1⁄2 teaspoon oregano
- 1⁄2 teaspoon fresh basil, chopped
- 1⁄2 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Saute onion and garlic in olive oil until translucent. Add crushed tomatoes and spices. Cook over low heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Cook pasta according to package directions and drain. Add sauce and mix well.
