Ingredients

  • 8 potatoes
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • 2 onions, diced
  • 6 eggs, divided
  • 2 pounds ground meat
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • dash of black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

Peel potatoes and place in a pot of water. Cook until soft - about 40 minutes. Drain water.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Saute onions in oil until translucent.

Mash the potatoes and mix with the onions and 3 eggs. Spread half of potato mixture into a greased 10-inch, round baking pan.

Combine meat, 3 eggs, salt, ketchup, garlic powder, black pepper and lemon juice, and mix until smooth and stiff. Spread the meat mixture over potato layer. Spread remaining potato mixture evenly over meat mixture. Sprinkle paprika on top of pie.

Bake at 350 for 1 1/2 hours.
