The sunflower seeds, almonds, and chow mein noodles add great crunch to this purple cabbage salad.

- 1 10-ounce bag shredded purple cabbage
- 1 10-ounce bag romaine lettuce
- 3 scallions, sliced
- 1⁄2 cup sunflower seeds
- 1⁄3 cup slivered almonds
- 1 11-ounce can mandarin oranges, drained
- 2 cups thin chow mein noodles
- 1⁄2 cup oil
- 1⁄4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3⁄8 cup vinegar
Mix oil, sugar, salt, and vinegar to make dressing.
Combine remaining ingredients in large bowl and pour dressing over. Mix well.
