These brownies are moist and chewy on the inside and have a light crunch on top. They are best made with good quality cocoa.

Ingredients
- 1 cup oil
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup flour
- 2⁄3 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x13 inch pan.
In a medium bowl, mix together the oil, sugar, and vanilla. Beat in eggs.
Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt together. Stir it into the egg mixture until well blended. Stir in walnuts, if desired. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
Bake for 20 minutes, or until the brownie begins to pull away from edges of pan. Let cool and cut into squares.
